Hi, there. It’s me, Dugger! I am the Pet Friendly Concierge for the Canopy by Hilton in Downtown Austin!
Our awesome hotel is conveniently located downtown and it’s designed to be the most DOG FRIENDLY hotel in all of Austin. On this page, we will feature all of the nearby pet friendly destinations and services that make our hotel such a great place for us dogs. OH MY DOG!

Located inside our hotel, Verbena is a super dog-friendly restaurant that features a courtyard where guests can have a meal with their dogs. Water bowls and fresh water are readily available outside.

- Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill at 303 Red River St (yelp) is just .5 miles from the hotel and features an outdoor patio.
- Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden at 79 Rainey St (yelp) is a lively spot featuring a wide selection of sausages and beers.
- Hold Out Brewing at 1208 W 4th St (yelp) is a full-service restaurant that allows both dogs and minors. Great neighborhood vibe and the service gets rave reviews.
- Republic Square at 422 Guadalupe St (link) is just a couple of blocks southeast of the hotel and is the nearest urban green space.
- Wooldridge Square Park at 900 Guadalupe St (yelp) is a beautiful, historic city park that is a favorite spot for music, picnics and history buffs.
- West Austin Park at 1317 W 10th St (yelp) is a dog park that is a local favorite. It features a secure area with lots of random tennis balls, benches and structures for the dogs to run around on. Note that the Wading Pool is not for the fur babies!
- Auditorium Shores at 800 W Riverside Dr (yelp) is a leash-free area where dogs can run, so make sure that you and your pup are both on the same page. There are no fenced-in areas but great scenery for the humans.
- Paws on Chicon St at 1301 Chicon St #102 (yelp) offers a wide range of wholesome dog treats and supplements. A dog wash and “froyo” for the pups make this a great destination.
- Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming at 1204 N Lamar Blvd (yelp) provides both grooming services and a custom dog bakery.
- Healthy Pet Seaholm at 211 Walter Seaholm Dr (yelp) has a very popular, self-service dog wash station for dirty pups. It also features healthy treats and dinners and other pet supplies.
